Tubes for Fender Princeton Reverb

Era: 1964–1979Power: 12 W

The Princeton Reverb is the studio-secret-weapon Fender — small enough to record at full break-up without destroying the room. 6V6 power section with tube reverb, lush vibrato, and the same chassis pedigree as the Deluxe Reverb but with half the output transformer.

Complete tube line-up

Every socket in the Princeton Reverb, with stock tubes, direct-swap alternatives, and rolling notes. Tube names link to dedicated specification pages.

Important: bias before you swap

Power tube swaps almost always require rebiasing — running a new quartet of 6V6 cold or hot will shorten tube life dramatically and can damage the output transformer. See the biasing guide and the troubleshooting guide before rolling tubes.
